TENNIS CLUB TERRANOVA

The Terranova Tennis Club, with its name, was founded in 1987 in Olbia on Via Barbagia in the office of founding member Edoardo Vivarelli. Francesco Marini was appointed president, as per the club’s articles of association. Subsequently, the club moved to the Fausto Noce sports center. From that moment on, the club grew, becoming one of the most important in Sardinia.
The courts are available to members and the tennis school. Outsiders can use the courts for a surcharge. The club’s overall structure also includes a bar, clubhouse, gym, and reception area for social gatherings.
The participation of numerous members and professional instructors has led the Terranova Tennis Club of Olbia to organize numerous activities year after year, increasing the number of enthusiasts and achieving notable results in various competitive competitions.
The tennis school plays a very important role at the Terranova Tennis Club. The sporting activities are aimed at children and young people under 18 with the aim of fostering and spreading a passion for tennis through competitive tournaments. Adult tennis enthusiasts can also take advantage of both group and individual lessons provided by professional instructors.
Regarding facilities, the club currently has five outdoor tennis courts: three green-set, one clay, and one synthetic grass. Two indoor green-set courts were built between 2018 and 2019 and have been in operation since March 2019. Throughout the year, numerous amateur and competitive tournaments are held for members and non-members, including the social and winter tournaments, as well as numerous competitive FIT tournaments.
The most important tournament at TC Terranova is the Open del Mare, aimed at the fourth, third, and second categories, which is held annually in the last week of July and the first week of August.
